You would think cops by now would know that it is unconstitutional to arrest someone for holding a nonvulgar sign. And district attorneys should be reported to their state bar for prosecuting these false charges.

and Louisiana just pass a state wide law banning panhandling and soliciting. after calling many of my state, city and parish reps, only one answered. i even called my local parish DA's office as well as the city attorney for New Orleans, and both of them refused to engage with me when i asked how they would prosecute a state law that the US SUPREME COURT has ruled is 1st amendment protected free speech

Make a business out of this. Use money to do class actions for the homeless to protect their rights. Hopefully cities will stop arresting them, and have to pay enough to make it preferable to help the homeless instead of 10* as much money to send them to jail.

Across the country, may municipalities are now criminalizing homelessness. Passing no overnight camping laws aimed directly at the homeless. I get the problem of encampments and property issues, but I don't get the solution, if it is to just lock them up and hide them away in jails.
